    Default The ALIAS command

I can't seem to find the answer anywhere so here goes.

I heard about a command called Alias in a CBTnugget video. I tried to use it in Packet Tracer but it doesn't work. I've tried searching to see if that command has been removed with no luck. Can anyone give me some input ? THANKS!

on real equipment that command is there.

although, i've only used it on older equipment running an ios of 12.3

packet tracer doesn't have all commands or all options for commands

Packet Tracer is great but it is important to understand it is a limited simulation. While you can do all of you CCNA study with packet tracer I highly recommend some real equipment or at least GNS3 if you want to continue in networking.

Simulators are great for understanding the theory but there is a lot to be learned from configuring and troubleshooting real equipment.

    Good Luck!
